FICCI and The George Washington University, Washington DC announce Certificate Course on US Patent Law and Practice

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and George Washington University, Washington D.C., US are jointly conducting the Certificate course on "United States (US) Patent Law & Practice".

The course is of 13 weeks duration.

Start of Course                                       :     First Week of September 2013
Last Date of Receipt of Applications    :     5th September 2013

The course would cover US patent law and practice, infringement aspects and remedies to infringement available in the US.

Key Features of the Course:

• Participants from India to get recorded versions of the sessions by Chief Judge Randall R. Rader,  U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) to view at their convenience;
• State of Art Course Material been prepared by Domain Experts in US; 
• Interaction with the Hon'ble Chief Judge Randall R. Rader, CAFC in January 2014 at FICCI, New Delhi; 
• Online Chat Session once in a week for 2 hours with expert from US;
• FORUM to enable participants to raise queries to Patent Law Experts from US and also to interact with other participants;
• Participants from Industry could participate in FICCI-IPR division events free of cost; 

The Course may be pursued by students of law, science, engineering and related disciplines, lawyers,  scientists, engineers, and professionals from disciplines related to patents, academicians, patent agents, entrepreneurs, aspirants for IP career, MSMEs.

FICCI announces online certificate course on competition law & intellectual property rights (IPComp)

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has been running an Online Certificate Course on Competition Law & Intellectual Property Rights (IPComp).  The objective of the Course is to make students and professionals learn about complex international legal environment in which multinational corporations and businesses operate.

Registration Start Date:              Registrations Open
Registration Closing Date:          25th May 2013
Conduct of the Course:              June – July 2013
Course Duration:          2 Months

Through several case studies, the course introduces some practical legal concepts, pitfalls and compliance that are needed by today’s businesses to comply with Competition Law, IPRs and their legal linkages. This advance course provides dual benefits of learning Competition Law & IPRs challenges faced by Corporations when they expand in an organic or non-organic manner into new territories, markets and products.

This is first of its kind of course introduced with specific focus on the interlinking between the competition law and IPR. The Course is of 2 months duration and consists of Six (6) modules: Introduction to the course, Legal framework of competition in India, Abusive / Anti-competitive practices which attract competition law, competition law: international perspective, Synchronization of patent law and competition law with specific reference to pharmaceutical industry and national and international case studies.

FICCI announces online certificate course on IPR and pharmaceutical R&D

Registrations are Open for the May – October 2013 session of online certificate course on IPR and pharmaceutical R&D (CCIPR) being conducted by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

The Course provides a platform to understand the working of pharmaceutical industry, its business models, research, regulatory aspects and its relevance with respect to intellectual property rights. This is first of its kind of course introduced with specific focus on the interlinking between the pharmaceutical industry and IPR. The Course is of 6 months duration and consists of five (5) modules i.e. pharmaceutical business,  pharmaceutical research and development, intellectual property rights: introduction, IPR - with specific reference to pharmaceuticals, IPR - Indian patent scenario and a case paper to be prepared by the participant.

The Course may be pursued by any student in pharmacy/ pharmaceutical sciences or industry persons working in the pharmaceutical sector, willing to enter Pharmaceutical R&D, Formulations, Generics, NDDS, Regulatory affairs, Drug discovery, Clinical research, Toxicology, International Business, Business strategy, Strategic planning and the like. 

Features like Online FORUM for query resolution and fortnightly updates on IPR to registrants make the course interactive.

Course duration:                           3 months
Registration start sate:                   1st April 2013
Registration closing date:               25th April 2013
Course conducted during:             1st May 2013 - 31st July 2013

The Course may be pursued by students from law, science and related disciplines, lawyers, patent
agents, professionals from industry fields, such as electrical, computer, chemical, mechanical, research
and development and other scientific domains, enforcement personnel, etc .

Key features of the course includes forum to enable participants to raise queries to IP Expert(s) and also to interact with other participants and the IPR updates enabling participants to remain updated on the latest IP Issues.

FICCI announces online certificate course on intellectual property

The Online Certificate Course on Intellectual Property (IP) started by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has been much appreciated by the participants of the Course.

The next Online Course would be conducted from January – March 2013. Registration for the same has started from 1st December 2012.  The details are:

Course Duration:                             3 Months

Registration Start Date:                    1st December 2012

Registration Closing Date:                25th December 2012

Conduct of the Course:                    1st January 2013 – 31st March 2013

The Course may be pursued by the Students from law, science and related disciplines, lawyers, patent agents, professionals from industry fields, such as electrical, computer, chemical, mechanical, research and development and other scientific domains, enforcement personnel, etc .

FICCI announces online IPR course on pharmaceutical research (CCIPR)

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has started an online certificate course on IPR and pharmaceutical R&D (CCIPR). The objective of the course is to provide a platform to understand the working of pharmaceutical industry, its business models, research, regulatory aspects and its relevance with respect to intellectual property rights.
