INTA announces Annual Calendar of Events - 2013

Posted on 2:23 PM by Unknown
SpicyIP is pleased to bring its readers the list of events that the International Trademark Association (INTA) has planned for this coming year.

FEB 8-9, 2013: TRADEMARK PRACTICE TRENDS IN INDIA (MUMBAI)

INTA's third India Conference is back in a new format this year as a two day event. Day 1 is a niche program to provide participants with a background on trademark processes in India. While Day 2 offers five panel discussions on:

Trademark Office Practice Updates
Customs Recordal of Rights and Post Clearance Audits: Boon or Bane?
In the Fast Lane: Trademark Litigations and Settlements through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
Social Media and Counterfeiting: Threats and Opportunities
Business Transactions: The Evolving Relationship between In-house and Outside Counsel

Although registration for Day 1 is Sold Out, you can still register for Day 2 online before January 31st. For more information and to register, visit www.inta.org/2013India

APRIL and MAY, 2013: INTA IN HOUSE PRACTITIONER'S LUNCHEONS (MUMBAI AND DELHI)

INTA has actively engaged in advocating the interests of brand owners across the world and would like to develop on-the-ground resources on public policy issues in India by providing a platform on which brand owners in India can address their trademark issues. These meetings seek to aid in-house practitioners in partnering as industry representatives to guide and direct the future of brands in India.

MAY 4-8, 2013: 135th ANNUAL MEETING (DALLAS)

The International Trademark Association’s Annual Meeting is the must-attend yearly event for legal professionals with an interest in trademarks and related intellectual property. Attendees say, “if you’re not there… you’re not serious about trademarks!”

Last year, over 9,500 intellectual property experts from more than 140 countries attended the Annual Meeting to gain insight on a variety of trademark-related topics spanning all geographic regions and industries. In no other venue will you make as many new contacts, have the ability to expand your business, meet with existing partners and colleagues, obtain continuing legal education credit and network among the world’s finest intellectual property lawyers.

AUGUST, SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER: INFO SESSION (CITIES AROUND INDIA)

Given that INTA's 136th Annual Meeting will be held in Asia for the first time, these info sessions will provide practitioners in India all the information they need to learn more about INTA and attending the Annual Meeting.

For more information, readers are advised to contact Simran Daryanani from INTA at sdaryanani@inta.org
